Working Mommy

As I sat and read the sweet blog that Lena left about our lunch date and the respect she had for "The Working Mommy" I felt the need to leave a post in response.


How do I say this...

EVERY MOTHER OUT THERE IS A WORKING MOMMY! It is true that I come to work five days a week and then go home to "work" with my family, but what mother doesn't? I have nothing but respect for all of the women who stay at home with their children!!!! Their "job" is just as demanding, joyous, exhausting, rewarding, and full of love as mine.

Are there days when my heart hurts so much from missing Vance...ABSOLUTELY! However, I know that he is in good hands; not just with Ms. Charlene but with the Lord as well. It also makes that moment when I walk through the door and he says HI with the biggest grin on his face that much more special. You also get this tremendous boost of energy at the end of the day...children do that to you! Perhaps one day I will get to stay home with Vance and any other children the Lord blesses us with, but right now I just take it a day at a time and do the best I can by my family.

So, thank you Lena for your kindess but know this: Any woman who is a mother, whether staying at home or working full time, has the most rewarding job out there...BEING A MOM!
