TODAY HAS BEEN GOOD!!!!!
This morning some of my fellow co-workers and I attended a Power Breakfast at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce entitle "Taking Charge of You." Hmmm...what a novel idea!
I am sure most of you are like me and most women in the world...WE PUT EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ELSE FIRST AND OURSELVES LAST!!!! The session this morning was wonderful, b/c it truly focused on the importance of taking time for ourselves. Even though women are often perfectionist at what they do, they are also thinking about many other tasks, ideas, and needs throughout the day. It is in our DNA to want to be the carers of all. I believe that "job" is already taken, but we even have a hard time giving it to Him. The session was a little over an hour long, but the one thing that stood out to me was when Dr. Hamilton talked about support systems. According to "research" we each have many support systems; family, friends, co-workers, God, etc. I could not agree more, but I want to add one more to the list...my blog support system. Some of you I may never meet and some of you I hope to visit with more, but you each inspire me in a different way. Thank You for being a SS in my beautiful life.
On my way back to the office while driving in the SNOW (Okay, the South never gets snow. Maybe something slushy, but not snow), I was listening to my favorite band, Sister Hazel. I LOVE THEM! I check their web-site almost daily to see if they are coming in concert, and most days I am saddended by what I see. NOT TODAY! They are coming on Saturday, March 1st to Wildhorse in Nashville. I immediately began leaping for joy and called all of my friends who are also "Hazelnuts!" I promise to post pics after that weekend and I promise if you buy one of their cds you won't be disappointed.
It keeps getting better! My parents arrived safely in Mexico this morning for their week long vacation. Oh, how they need this week away!!! We met them at CB last night for dinner, and they were super excited. I pray Lord that you will help to ease their minds, ease their hearts, and allow them to enjoy the beauty that surrounds them! Here is a picture of my parents with Vance at dinner last night. Vance LOVES his Papa Hunter!

Last but not least...
American Idol comes on tonight AND I can't wait to see who the Top 24 are! Here are some of my favorites.
1) The girl with the blonde, curly hair that plays keyboard
2) The sweet sixteen year old boy who has the voice condition
3) The Aussie
4) The country boy
5) The rocker with the guitar
6) The Laotion Girl (I think she is Laotion)
7) The girl from Ireland
8) I will admit that I like the boy from Morristown, TN...he is a little weepy though
Who are your favorites?
Til next time...

I love the girl with the long blonde hair and the piano.
I only saw the first hour - I have to watch the 2nd tonight.
Okay, so I have been thinking about American Idol all day long! I am with you - I LOVE the girl with the blonde hair on the piano! The guy from Morristown bets on my nerves - I can't stand weepy boys! Ha!
