I Have Been Tagged

Here it goes...

1) I have read that many of you had a little something special that comforted you as children...I am right there with you. When I was born, my parents gave me a stuffed animal that was a monkey. I, of course, named him "Funky Monkey!" I am proud to say that my dear monkey is now residing in my son's crib...I have had him THAT LONG! Funky Monkey has gone everywhere with me: trips, camps, sleepovers, hospitals, etc. He is old, tattered, scratched, and absolutely means the world to me!

2) I promise I am not bragging when I say this, but I can dance =)! I danced for a studio for close to fifteen years, on a dance team (the half-timers Lena) at my high school, and then just for fun in college with AOII! When people first meet me and get to know me they are often surprised at my dancing abilities. Let me just say, the dance floor is where all of my inhibitions are gone. Even though I love dancing all different styles, ballet will always be my favorite. The Nutcracker anyone?

3)I too, like Caroline, truly feel as though I was born in the wrong decade. There is a little piece of my heart and soul that some might say is a free spirit or hippie if you will. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I would have been the hippie that was high all of the time BUT definitely bare foot, daisy loving, peace sharing, love spreading type of hippie. I have always LOVED The Beatles!!! My mother was a hippie back in the day, and I think some of her spirit carried over into me.

4) I LOVE getting and giving cards!!! I often tell Web to not worry about gifts and such...just get me a card. There is so much a card can say when you might not have the words to express yourself. Sometimes I go into card shops just to read cards...the dry humor ones are my FAVORITE!

5) I will admit it: I watch entirely too much TV! My week run down looks like this: Monday ~ October Road / Tuesday ~ American Idol / Wednesday ~ Private Practice (When it is on) and American Idol / Thursday ~ Grey's Anatomy and LOST / The rest of the week is sprinkled with a few CSI's, ANTM, ESPN, The Backyardigans, and anything else that we found interesting to TIVO...I KNOW IT IS HORRIBLE!

6) I am a clean freak! Bed making, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, ironing, organizing, lent rolling, straightening, certified CLEAN FREAK! Am I ashamed...absolutely not =)! I enjoy cleaning b/c it is somewhat therapeutic for me, and I love the way I feel when it is done. While I was pregnant with Vance, I would clean ALL OF THE TIME! Perhaps I was nesting, but I loved when Web came home and he would comment on how clean the house was. Perhaps us Murfreesboro gals should start a cleaning business...hmmm.

7) I LOVE TO PRAY! This has not always been the case, but definitely in the past few years. I pray every morning, every night, and sparatically throughout the day. It is my "cup of coffee" if you will that allows me to get my day started and my night wound down.

There are so many other tidpits I would like to share, but I DO NOT want to bore you =)! Here are just a couple more idioscencracies that make me who I am...

* Extremely sensitive
* Enjoy baking
* Avid sports fan ~ football, golf, college basketball, and local baseball
* The fall is my favorite time of year
