Separation Anxiety

Oh ladies! It has begun! Our sweet little man is experiencing some serious separation anxiety =(!

As some of you may or may not know, Vance started full time at a NEW day care this week. He spent the last three Wednesdays there to transition from Miss Charlene's house to Tots Landing, and he did beautifully those three days. Last Thursday we said goodbye to Miss Charlene and yesterday began operation Tots Landing Full Time!

Vance did pretty good yesterday morning, but this morning was a different story. Web is kind enough to drop him off in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon. Again, this is just one more reason why Web ROCKS! This morning was T-O-U-G-H! Web said Vance just would not let go of him and that he heard him crying when he left. Oh it breaks my heart!!!!

I know "this" is "all part of it" and that "it" will get better, but I just want my little man to be happy as he can be. It does not matter that 10 minutes after Web left Vance was playing, laughing, and had a GREAT day!

Would you please keep him in prayer during this transition AND Web in prayer as he started teaching at Oakland this week?!

THANK YOU!

I had to include a pic of Vance posing with this little golf bag and club ;)! Tiger Woods' daughter has NOTHING on Vance ;)!

Hi Megan! I have enjoyed reading your blog! My goodness, Vance is the most adorable little boy! Look at his beautiful curls! I used to wish my boys had beautiful curly hair like that! Don't worry, the separation anxiety will get better! I never thought Evan would ever let me put him down, but he has gotten more independent lately and it is great! You have a beautiful family!

I will keep him in my prayer. I have 2 boys and they both went thru that. One made it full time, and the other did not. I didnt work at that time and it was more for him to get ready for school.
He will get better... but it is hard on us Mommies.

A friend of mine took a picture of her little boys teachers, and each night they prayed for them and talked about how they were going to get to see them in the morning. I thought that was a really good idea, and maybe that will help some! Eli cries EVERY Sunday, and it does break your heart!!! No doubt Mother's Day Out will be rough at first, but I was thinking about doing the picture idea...so maybe you can tell me how it works for Vance!!!

Oh, girl, it will get better, but you know I will pray for you anyway ;) Praying for Vance, for Web, and for you, sweet friend!!

I'm so sorry Vance is having a tough time. It is SO hard to leave your baby like that. I know that has to be difficult for Web. This will pass, but you are right, it doesn't seem to matter when you are in the throes of it. It just breaks your heart. I will pray for all of you, especially V that he will adjust quickly. I wish I could give you a big hug.

Poor little thing!! I am so sorry he's having a hard time adjusting! I will pray for it to go better for him soon. AND I will pray for you, mommy. It's so hard to know that your baby might be sad.

I hope Web has an awesome first week!!

Oh! It would just break my heart every time I had to drop Vance off and hear him cry... poor Web! You are right, it's part of learning and growing up, but it sure doesn't make it any easier! You all three are always in my prayers and I will add the specifics of your requests tonight! Love you!!!

Poor little man! I have heard several of my friends talk about this and it always seems to get better. I think it is just the beginning that is ugly!! I can only imagine how tough it is on you and Web to know he is crying and you have to leave!

Loved the picture of the little man and the golf bag. I'll have to start watching him on ESPN Sportscenter now!!
