PLEASE TELL ME YOU SAW THIS!!!!! PLEASE TELL ME YOU SAW THE AMERICAN MEN RELAY TEAM BEAT FRANCE LAST NIGHT!!!!! It was AMAZING! It was EXCITING! It gave me chills! For those of you who did not get to see it, some of the swimmers on France's team had been talking "smack" about how they were going to "smash" the USA team in last night's relay. Well, it LOOKED like France was going to win, but in the end, Team USA won the Gold by a mere fingernail. Web recorded the race so I could watch it this morning, and it was the perfect way to start off my day ;)!
I know that some people do not like the Olympics, but for me it is a time to really root for my country! There are athletes worldwide who give up so much to train for moments like last night ;)! I just can't help but grin from ear to ear when they play the Star Spangled Banner!!!!
In other news, we had a really nice weekend ;).
Friday night I took Vance swimming while Web worked/cleaned our house. When Web was finished we took Vance on a very SLOW & SAFE four-wheeler ride. He loved riding through the field, he loved watching the cows, he loved feeling the breeze through his hair!
Saturday was quiet in the morning...so nice! While Vance was taking his nap, Web & I met with the guys who are doing our cabinets. We got to sit down and really go over all of the details/selections. IT WAS SO EXCITING! That afternoon my parents picked Vance up and took him for a visit to my grandparent's house ;)! My mom got some really cute pics of Vance and my grandfather that I will have to share when I get them. While Vance was with my parents, Web & I worked on some more house items and then we went to Meag's house for a Game Night ;)! There were only a few of us, but we ate big, played games, laughed, and had a GREAT time!!!!
Sunday was more relaxing and then last night we met Vance's Godparents for dinner at Toot's! Steve & Caroline have two girls, one boy Vance's age, and one more on the way ;)! They are such a loving family and wonderful friends!
It was a great weekend with the people I love most!
p.s. Even tough it was a Pre-Season game, the Titans won on Saturday night!

Ha! I bet we were both screaming at the TV last night! I'm like you, I love to root for my country! And I really love it when we beat the pants off of trash talkers!!! =)
We saw the race last night, and I was cheering like I was watching the Cowboys play!!!!! Not big fans of France.
Doesn't watching the Olympics totally make you want to work out...I'm in awe at how in shape all those people are!!!! They probably don't sit on their couch eating Cheez-its like I'm doing!
What a great weekend! I had SO much fun Saturday night with you guys!! And thank you for sharing all of your paint, counter, and cabinet choices with me - I can't wait to see everything come together in your beautiful new home!!!!
I just love the Olympics! So glad you had a relaxing weekend, and your house details sound like so much fun!!
I did see that. I loved it, too! I think the Olympics are so much fun to watch. It always makes me wish I had the slightest bit of athletic talent ;) Glad you had a great weekend!
