At 3:03 pm 18 months ago, I gave birth to Christopher Vance Hutchings! He was 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and 20.5 inches long ;)! It was a moment that I will cherish for so many years to come. The "little man" that I talked to and sang to everyday was finally here. GOD IS GOOD!
Today our "little man" will be 18 months old! Could it be? I am a mixture of emotions today, but most importantly I am blessed! These past eighteen months have been FULL of excitement, adventure, new lessons, LOTS OF PHOTOS, but most importantly...LOVE!
Here are 18 of the MANY reasons why we love Vance so much!
*99.9% OF THE TIME HE IS HAPPY AS A CLAM! HE DOES HAVE HIS "DAYS," BUT WHO DOESN'T?
*HE IS VERY CURIOUS ABOUT EVERYTHING!
*HE IS AN OUTDOOR, COUNTRY BOY AT HEART! NO SHOES FOR HIM ;)!
*HE IS SO LOVING TOWARDS EVERYONE...GIVES HUGS, BLOWS KISSES, PLAYS WITH MY HAIR!
*HE GETS EXCITED ABOUT EVERYTHING!
*HE LOVES TO PULL BOOKS OFF OF HIS BOOKSHELF AND "READ" US STORIES
*THE WAY HE TALKS AND WHEN HE LEARNS A NEW WORD! HIS NEWEST THREE WORD PHRASE IS "I GET IT!"
*WHEN HE PLAYS WITH ASHWORTH! HE LOVES OUR DOG!!!
*THE WAY HE UNDERSTANDS US AND HE IS REALLY BEGINNING TO COMMUNICATE! HE IS SO SMART!
*HOW HE ENJOYS HELPING ME WITH CHORES!
*HOW EXCITED HE GETS WHEN WEB OR I COME HOME ;)
*WHEN HE LEADS US AROUND THE HOUSE, PATS A PLACE FOR US TO SIT, HOLDS ON TO OUR CLOTHES FOR A HUG!
*HOW CUTE HE IS WHEN HE TRIES A NEW FOOD! HE GETS SO HAPPY AND LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE GOPHER ;)
*WE LOVE TO WATCH HIM PLAY WHEN HE CONCENTRATES: EYEBROWS DOWN, TONGUE OUT, FOCUSED!
*HOW HE DOES THE SILLIEST THINGS AND WEB & I JUST CRACK UP :)! HE LOVES CHASING HIS SHAWDOW AND PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK!
*HOW HE HAS THE BEST TIME TAKING A TUBBY AND IN THE POOL! HE ENJOYS SPLASHING!
*HOW SWEET HE IS AT BEDTIME! WE HAVE A LITTLE ROUTINE AND IT JUST MELTS MY HEART WHEN WE TUCK HIM IN EACH NIGHT!
*WATCHING VANCE BECOME WHO GOD INTENDS HIM TO BE EVERYDAY!

So precious! I can't beleive he is already 18 months old... it seems like just yesterday we were watching the super bowl and feeling your prego belly for a kick from him and now he's running around actually kicking and throwing balls, talking, laughing, playing, and loving! What a precious boy you have! With parents like you and Web and his natural personality and character, he is sure to grow into a fine man! I am just honored to be able to be a part of his life and watch him grow!
Happy 18 months to a sweet and adorable little boy!! I know he is just the light of your life! I love how you described him so well! Enjoy every minute.

Awww! Happy B-Day Vance. I love him, too! I just couldn't help but fall in love with that little sweet face! Doesn't it go by so fast?!
Sweet Vance! Happy 18 Months! He is so special. I love his personality and his curiousity. I can't wait to see he and Dawson grow up together and play and beat each other up. :)
I'm so sorry I'm so behind on reading your posts! Happy belated 18 months to Vance. He is so cute!! I remember when my baby was 18 months old, and he will be 11 tomorrow. I have no idea where the time goes!
Isn't this an exciting age? I truly enjoyed that stage!
