Despite the unbelievable heat the South is experiencing right now, I had a wonderful, cool weekend!!!
Every year during the first weekend of June, Web plays in the Old Fort Champion's Cup. Twelve guys from Old Fort compete against twelve guys from Willowbrook for the Champion's Cup. The event is a two day tournament and I am proud to say Old Fort took the Cup home this year! Web and his partner played really well =)! On Friday night, the Director of Golf at Old Fort had the entire team and their spouses over for dinner, games, and fellowship. One of Web's students from a few years back (she is in college now) kept Vance while we headed out for our semi date night ;)!
Web and I at the Team Cookout! Marty has a little putting green in his backyard so the guys indulged in some friendly competition. Web two putted to win a brand new shaft for his driver. In non-golf terms...he played well and was rewarded with a really good addition to his golf club!
Saturday was the first day of the tournament! Vance and I decided to load up and head to the Discovery Center to meet Betsey & Abi =)! Even though the museum was closed, there was plenty to do outside in the sweltering heat...lol. Vance & Abi slid down slides, played in the water, watched the ducks, and just walked around. It was a short visit BUT a good one ;)!
My poor little guy was just burning up, so I stopped by Sonic to get the one thing that would both cheer us up...CHERRY COKE! Yes, I let him have a sip ;)! He did turn 16 MONTHS OLD ON SATURDAY, SO IT WAS A MINI CELEBRATION!!!!
Saturday we spent the rest of the day playing until Web got home! That night I met my galz for dinner at The Chop House and then we were off to see SEX AND THE CITY! I have never seen an episode of this show but it is one of Meag's all time favs. The movie was HILARIOUS!!!! Even though we ended up sitting in the front row (I have not done that since I was 12), we had the best time laughing at every comment made. We would constantly lean over and say "I could so see you saying, doing, or wearing that!"
Sunday was the second day of the tournament and more Vance & Mommy time! Can I just say that I LOVE THAT MY LITTLE BOY LOVES ME!!!! When Web got home we ran a few errands and spent the remainder of the evening relaxing in the coolness of our apt.

Poor thing...Vance looks miserable in that carseat! Haha-that's the way I felt alot of this weekend! He looks much happier in World Market!
Did you know that I've never been to Sonic??? (I love their commercials, though!) We have one, but it's not too close to my house. But I have it on my list to try this week since everyone raves about it all the time! I'll have to get a cherry coke! :)
I'm so glad you let V have a sip of Cherry Coke. EG wouldn't steer him wrong. Ha! You three are just the most precious things! What a beautiful family you have. I really, really need to get my mitts on Vance. He is SO cute! That last pic of W and V warmed my heart!
Web is such a good man, you are such an amazing woman, and Vance... well he's just my little man! What a great family - I admire y'all so much!! It was a great weekend! Girlz night certainly a highlight!
