Birthdays, Football, and Tags

Good Morning! I hope that each of you had an amazing weekend and those of you not working are enjoying your day off. Habitat is open today, but that is ok b/c I love my job.

Speaking of weekends, ours was very busy but a lot of fun!!!

Friday evening Web and I did a few things around the house and then he headed over to a friend's house for a friendly game of poker. Web actually does not play, but instead he deals. It is a great way for him to have quality time with friends. Vance went down around 9:00, so I took advantage of the downtime and got some things done. Are any of you like that? You have downtime but instead of resting, you keep on trucking. At around 10:30 I finally sat down and started flipping through the channels...I actually watched "My Big Redneck Wedding" on CMT. OH MY GOODNESS! I am happy to say that none of the shows were in set in Tennessee, thank the Lord.

Saturday was another exciting day! We met with our builder, Shane Hall, and we are still plugging along with the build. I have to keep reminding myself to take it one day at a time. I thought that planning a wedding had a lot of details...that was nothing compared to this. I am not complaining though! I just feel very blessed to be in a position to even build a home. After Shane left we got Vance ready and headed over to Abigail Turner's First Birthday Party! Abi was born three weeks before Vance, and her mother and I are very good friends. Vance played great, ate a banana, and even had some cake. Abi was adorable as she could be! I am so happy that the two of them are friends! We left there only to rest for a while and then head out to Eagleville for a Basketball Game. Web taught there for six years, and we are still very close to some of the teachers there. It was great seeing everyone and Vance just loved watching the game =)! Finally we headed home around 8:30, and we all crashed pretty early!

Sunday OH Sunday! We met my parents out at our land / build site around 10:30. They had yet to really see the view and my father will be doing a lot of the gradework for us. (Again, never burn bridges). We left there and then headed into town to run a few errands. It does not matter how little I plan on spending at Target, I ALWAYS spend more...grr. Finally we were headed home to watch football...yay!I honestly did not care about the first game, but my husband is a HUGE Packers fan. From kick off at 5:30 until the game was over, Web was pacing the floor, biting his nails, texting friends, and making me a nervous wreck. Sadly the Packers lost, but my husband will live to see another day. I will be pulling for Eli now! Stupid Tom Brady and The Patriots...last grr. My focus will now be on determining who will be singing the National Anthem at the SuperBowl 42!

Last but not least, my dear friend Lena tagged me today! I love little surveys, so please enjoy!
