These Words

Over the last few weeks I have been reading Bring The Rain, a blog written by Angie Smith, about the story of her daughter Audrey Caroline. For those of you who have been reading this blog you know the story well and for those who have not read it yet, do! I PROMISE YOU WILL BE CHANGED FOREVER!

One of my co-workers has been looking up some quotes and scripture for a Memorial Service we are having on Thursday for a Habitat Homeowner who recently passed. She found one that I felt was appropriate for the Smith Family as well. Sometimes words and faith are the only comforts we have!

We picture death as coming to destroy; let us rather picture Christ as coming to save. We think of death as ending; let us rather think of life as beginning, and that more abundantly. We think of losing; that us think of gaining. We think of parting, let us think of meeting. We think of going away; let us think of arriving. And as the voice of death whispers, "You must go from earth," let us hear the voice of Christ saying, "You are but coming to Me!"

We will all continue to pray for the Smith Family during this time!
