Good News Weekend

All I can say is He DOES listen, He DOES hear, & He DOES bless us!

Thursday Web & I took Vance to visit Dr. M, the pediatric opthamologist! They did a few child friendly tests and then they dialted his eyes. After a quick examination, the doc had good news. There is NO sign of Albinism to be found...THANK YOU LORD! Dr. M said that Vance is nearsided (he comes by that naturally) and that he will need glasses in the future. Vance did so good, but on the way home he fell asleep.

Playing in the waiting room!

Trying to catch a quick picture of Vance in his shades =)!

Web also found out that there is a 99.9% chance that he WILL be going to teach at Oakland in the fall. He has a few test to take, a little training to do, one summer class, and he SHOULD be on his way to teaching CAD! I am so proud of Web and so thankful that the good Lord answered our prayers.

Friday I spent the day with Vance, my mother, and my grandmother. Every year we have a tradition of going to the Southern Women's Show in Nashville. Vance was so well-behaved and there were tons of booths with equal amounts of treasures. I found a backpack/diaper bag for Vance. I will post a pic soon, but I LOVE it! Friday night we had dinner at Camino with some friends and then Meag & I got ready for the JLM Retreat.

Saturday morning I met some of my favorite galz for the JLM Retreat! There are nine of us on the committee and we welcomed 30 women to the Junior League.

Meag & I at the retreat! We all had a great time doing ice breakers and learning a lot about the Junior League of Murfreesboro!

After the retreat, Web & I decided to take Vance to Kid's Castle, a local park in the Boro. It was his FIRST time at the park and he did so good. It was a bit chilly so we only stayed long enough to swing, but Vance loved every minute!

Swinging with dad!

The simple joys of life!

One of the joys of parenthood!!!

Sunday we spent the day celebrating my mother in law's bdays, catching up on chores, and relaxing. It was a GREAT weekend!

I am so thankful you got such GREAT news on Vance! Yeah! I agree about one of the joys of parenthood. I could swing my children for hours. They love it and so do I! We haven't taken Ella to a park yet...as soon as it gets warm enough. I think that WILL happen eventually! :)
