SAD NEWS!!!!

Yesterday was a very sad day for thousdands of Packer Backers! After 17 years in the NFL (all but one were with Greenbay) the legendary #4 has decided to retire!

My love for the handsome, talented quarterback began in high school. In the 90's, my only real connection with Brett Favre was that he played football and was SMOKIN HOT! However, as my passion and knowledge for football grew, I began to realize that it took an extra special someone to be quarterback. It was not until my husband and I began dating, that I really understood what a wonderful football player Brett really was. I felt my Titan's loyalty begin to split as I watched Web obsess with every Greenbay game.

Greenbay, Wisconsin is a little smaller than my growing, small town of Murfreesboro, TN. However, the loyalty and fan base is something that will withstand the test of time, season records, and Superbowl appearances. There are families who put their unborn children on waiting list for tickets just to keep the tradition going. Unless YOU KNOW SOMEONE or luck up, it is impossible to get tickets to a game. The stadium is always sold out (even when they play in freezing, cold weather), and the town's heart truly beats with the Packers. It gives me chills just thinking about it!

Perhaps my favorite thing about Brett and his family is that they are just like you and me. He and his wife our childhood sweethearts from Mississippi, they have a daughter who is almost in college, he has struggled with substance abuse at one time, she is a survivor of breast cancer...they are not perfect but they are perfect for each other and he was perfect for Greenbay! he is just a good, ole country boy with one heck of an arm who loved the game!

I am taking this moment both for my husband and the thousands of fans to honor Brett! Thank YOU FOR SEVENTEEN YEARS OF UNBELIEVABLE FOOTBALL! WE LOOK FORWARD TO WATCHING GET INDUCTED INTO THE NFL HALL OF FAME!

Just for you Web! Thank you for sharing your love for Greenbay with Vance and I!
