Our long weekend was simply magical I tell you...magical in a sense that I am truly starting to get IT. You know the it I am referring to; when you wake up in the morning with a smile on your face ready to start the day and you are in the BEST mood. That BEST mood comes from knowing and believing that He is in control!
Friday I got to pamper myself a little bit! I met two of my nearest and dearest for breakfast, shopping, and a pedicure. There is nothing like good food, good finds, good feet (lol), and good friends. After breakfast at The City Cafe, we headed over to The Avenue to do some serious shopping. We just got a World Market here in the Boro and we decided to check it out. After an hour and a half we were simply impressed. It is like Old Time Pottery & Pier One all rolled into one...I LOVE IT! It was then onto New York & Company and The Children's Place for some last minute Easter shopping. Thankfully I was able to find a dress for Easter and some pjs for little man. We then headed to Tippy Toes for our pedicures! If there is one thing I love it is a good pedicure.
Lauren, Meag, and I getting PAMPERED!
Saturday we took Vance to the Discovery Center and he had the BEST TIME! Here are just a few pics from our adventure there...
Playing in the water!
Looking at the turtle!
Vance and his daddy being silly! He was laughing so loud!!!
I decided that Web & I needed to go to World Market! Vance's eyes were jumping around like crazy at all of the neat stuff. I even baught a painting that I LOVED for a GREAT price. You can't beat that! Saturday night we had a "Grill & Chill" with some close friends. I also got a special package in the mail from Cena. I won a blog give away and got my shell bracelet and earrings in the mail...LOVE THEM!
Easter Sunday was extremely busy but extremely good! We got all dressed up in our Sunday best and headed to the 8:30 Mass. I must admit that church is somewhat of a "challenge" for us at this point. Let me explain: Vance is thirteen months old and all he wants to do is explore, explore, explore. The church does offer a nursery but the lady in charge is on maternity leave. We do go to Mass and we do sit in the Angel Room so Vance can do a little exploring, but sometimes we get more out of praying and studying the word together at home. Does that make sense?
After Mass we headed home for Vance to do a little Easter Egg Hunting. We only hid a few eggs but he did GREAT! After nap time we headed to my grandparent's home for a family dinner, easter egg hunt, and a little basketball. We left there around 3:00 and then headed to my mother in law's house for more food and family fun. I love visiting with family and the delicious food was an added plus. Vance ate really well and enjoyed all that the Easter Dinner had to offer. Here are a few pics from Easter Sunday Extravaganza...
Little Vance and I ready for Easter Mass =)

Sorry it is sideways, but this is little man opening his eggs =)
All in all it was a FABULOUS WEEKEND!!!
Tomorrow is lunch with Lena and I can't wait to see her!

I absolutely LOVE World Market--we used to live in St. Louis, and it was one of my favorite places to go. I'm sad we don't have one anywhere near where I live now :( Enjoy shopping!
Yay! I finally got the whole blogging thing down... well sort of anyway. Still getting the hang of it. Anyway, I love-love-love keeping up with you and yours through your most fabulous blog! Thanks for getting me on board! You're the most fabulous!
