CAN I JUST SAY THAT OUR WEEKEND ROCKED!!!
Friday evening we met my brother and parents at one of my favorite restaurants, Miller's Grocery. It is a quaint, little place tucked away on a small country road. There are tons of antiques covering the restaurant and they even have live, country musci on Friday nights. The food was delicious, my brother treated everyone (a free meal...even better), and Vance LOVED the banjo. He is quite the dancer I tell you!
Saturday was just as wonderful!!!! We spent the morning looking over our houseplans and finalizing a few more dimensions for my brother. He is pouring our foundation (it is such a blessing to have family and friends in the construction business), and Web loves numbers. Geek, I know! While Vance napped I ran to the grocery store and Web got a few chores done around the house...I know, he is the BEST! Vance woke up around 2:30 in the best mood and Web took him to his brother and sister in law's house. Dale, Carrie, Dani, and Cole kept Vance overnight, and he had the best time. They live out on the farm where we are building, and Vance eats everybit of that up.
So Saturday night was SISTER HAZEL and we had the BEST TIME!!!! Five of us ended up going: I purchased nine tickets just in case, so my friend Meag and I stood outside and sold the other four in about ten minutes. I had never done that before, and I was quite proud of myself. It was hilarious though...I kept telling people, "no pressure, thank you, it really means a lot to me!" So, I would never make it as ticket scalper, but it was fun for one night. Once inside we enjoyed an evening of good food, great company, and WONDERFUL MUSIC. I love watching them play, their lyrics have great messages, and the fans are incredible! It was a late night, but well worth it. I had washed our sheets on Saturday, so we slept sweet and sound that evening.
Web and I at the Wildhorse Salon! Isn't he handsome!!!
My DEAR friend Meagan and I waiting for Sister Hazel! She is my sunshine!!!
SISTER HAZEL!!!!!
Sunday morning we picked up Vance and headed back home for some serious play-time! After lunch both Web and Vance opted for a two hour nap! It worked out GREAT b/c I was able to balance the check book, pay some bills, and do a few more chores. FYI: Moms do not nap...we just do! After nap time we loaded up and headed to our local, outdoor mall known as The Avenue. We went to my favorite children's store, The Children's Place, and found Vance an Easter outfit and some adorable summer clothes. I had gotten a 20% off coupon in the mail, and was saving it for this time of year...SCORE! The Avenue has a special area near a water fountain for families to just sit and relax...it has grass similar to a football field so kids can play and what not. Of course we took every advantage of that and let Vance "crawl" wild.
Sweet Vance wore his ball cap for the majority of the time! Looks at his curls coming out from underneath...how sweet!
We let Vance throw a penny in the fountain and make a wish. Of course he was intrigued by the little fountain!
It was a GREAT weekend! I LOVE THE SPRING!

I love Spring, too, and I love shopping for clothes for the kids. The Children's Place always has the cutest things. Oh, and I love that pic of Vance's curls. Soooo cute!
