Come On Over

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!

Friday night was a quiet one :)! Web, Vance, and I enjoyed some time playing, reading, and just hanging out as a family. It was a great way to spend the evening b/c Saturday was BUSY!

Web was up and ready pretty early b/c he had a golf tournament to play in. The weather was very questionable but he was still confidant they would play. Little man and I had a great morning. We worked on puzzles, some fun flash cards, and of course doh-dod. Around 8:30 I got a call from Web saying that the tournament was postpone until this Saturday and he was on his way home. Even though he was a little disappointed I was secretly happy b/c I had a lot to do that day.

My parents came around 10:30 to pick Vance up for the day and a little sleepover. We were having friends over that night and they graciously agreed to keep him :). He ALWAYS has fun with them so I knew he would be a okay. As soon as they left Web and I started cleaning. We worked our little tails off but the end result was worth it. Again, it is just one more reason I am thankful to have a helpful husband!!! We were ready and excited for the evening festivities!

Saturday night we all met at Fuji's for dinner. There was actually 15 of us together to celebrate Hooper and Donnie's Birthdays :). Fuji is such a wonderful place to eat and it was so nice having everyone together!

After dinner everyone came out to our house to play games and continue the celebration! We played Catch Phrase (the girls won) and Trivia Pursuit (the boys won), but mostly we talked and laughed. At one point we had 11 people around our dining room table playing a game. Web and I were so HAPPY! We have waited so long to host something and it felt good to have a home full of laughter.

Everyone was there pretty late and it even started snowing! On Sunday morning we woke up to this:


It was beautiful!!! I suppose Mother Nature wanted to give us one more good snow before the weather started warming up. We left to pick Vance up and it took us almost an hour to get to my parent's house. The main roads weren't bad but the country roads were a little slick!

After we picked up the little man we came home and had a quiet day! Web and I were pretty tired from Saturday night, so we were happy to just be at home :). I had a little laundry to get done and of course Vance wanted to help.


Pretty cute helper if you ask me?! Can you tell he had been coloring with markers and fed himself dinner. Thank goodness for play clothes and shout :)!

Tonight I am going to try to watch The Bachelor! It seems like there is going to be some tears shed by all?!
