Thanksgiving Holiday

Well, it is Monday afternoon and I am back to work and the real world ;)! Web, Vance, and I had such a wonderful break together. We all had off five glorious days and I am here to tell you it was so good for my soul ;)!

I apologize for the post in pictures but it is a great way to tell you all about our magical week together.

Wednesday
Wednesday Web and I spent the day picking out appliances, doing a little Christmas shopping, and having somewhat of a date day ;). We ate lunch at this great place called Five Guys. All of my boro buddies, you must go. We also broke down and purchased a 3ft tree. I think we both have a feeling we won't be moving until after Christmas, which we are okay with, but we want our apartment to be a little festive ;).

My handsome husband and our wonderful tree ;)!

Thursday
It was Turkey Day and what does this girl do first thing on Thanksgiving? Watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade of course!!! It has always been one of my favorite traditions and one year WE will be going ;).

Our first stop was Web's mother's house. She always makes way too much food but it is all so good. Vance napped while we ate but when he woke up he was ready to PLAY!

Vance loves tractors! We have had a ton of tractors at our house lately and one of them happens to be my BIL. He was kind enough to take Vance on a SLOW ride on his tractor. He was so happy ;).

Web and I on Turkey Day! I LOVE his beard...SMA right La?

Once we left Margaret's house we headed to the apartment for a quick change and to pick up a few more items. It was then off to my parent's house!!! My mother made the best Italian meal with a few traditional dishes thrown in. I got to spend time with my brother and my grandparents...such a great family ;).

This is why my mom, aka Nana Jo, is the coolest! When we arrived she had made Vance a tent to play in. She is so much fun and so wonderful with kids. This is now my favorite pic.

After a day of eating, visiting, and football, we all slept GREAT!!!

Friday
Web worked on our garage all day while Vance and I stayed in our pjs all day! It was WONDERFUL ;)! I was also twelve weeks on Friday and little one is the size of a plum ;).

Saturday
Saturday morning we worked on a few projects around the apt. :)! I am trying to clean out our closets and what not before we move. I guess I am experiencing the "nesting phase" a little early...LOL!

Vance working on one of his Christmas projects/gifts ;). He loves to paint!!!

Saturday night we decided to brave it and headed to Opry Mills ;)! We only go there for a couple of stores and then we head to the hotel to see the Christmas lights ;).

First we went to Bass Pro to pick up a gift and right away Vance found the aquarium with the fish. He LOVES fish and would look at them for hours. It looks like an aquarium is in our future ;). While we were there we decided to head over to Build A Bear and let Vance make a Moose. He had the best time pushing the pedal, kissing the heart, and cleaning his Moose.

Vance loving on his Moose he affectionaley named, "Moose."

It was then off to see the Christmas Lights at the Opryland Hotel. We go every year and Vance just LOVED them ;)!

Vance throwing a coin in the fountain and making a wish! I wonder if he was wishing for a little brother or sister...LOL!

Sunday
Sunday morning we went to church and then headed to Sparta, TN for Web's Dad's side of the family Thanksgiving. We always go to Daddy Bill's house in the country, sit by the fire, and eat good Southern food!

We also went to our house to look at these...

...our cabinets are in! We are getting so close and so excited ;)!

If I could some up these past 5 days I would say refreshing! It was just what I needed to get ready for December ;)!

I love everything about this post! I love your little tree(and Web, too). I love seeing Vance at Thanksgiving and how sweet your mom is. We made those tents when I was little, too. I LOOOOOOOVE your cabinets. That color stain looks FANTASTIC against the green! I can't wait to see the rest of your house. I'm sorry you may not be in before Christmas, but you will have so much to look forward to in the new year! MWAH!

I am sorry you won't be in your house by Christmas, I am still praying you will be. I love the cabinets! They are beautiful! Cabinets and countertops are one my favorite things about a house.
