FAMILY OF FOUR!!!!

It is Friday, the coolness outside it just perfect for fall, and I am so incredibly HAPPY!

When Web and I got married we knew that we wanted a "big" family! We never defined the word "big" but we knew that meant at least more than one little one ;). We were only married 6 months before we started trying to get pregnant with Vance. Some people made comments that we should have more "us" time, but we both love kids and we wanted to start our family. We were beyond elated when we got pregnant and when Vance entered our lives.

We never really talked about when we would start trying again, but once we started building the house we thought we would wait until we got all moved in. Well, one day we met Web's dad for lunch and he just casually asked us when were going to start trying again. Our immediate response was not until the house was finished. However, something in my heart made me stop and think. That night we talked about it and Web felt that same feeling...God was telling us it was time ;)!

When we started trying we went in with a very open mind and decided that whatever God had planned we were okay with. I had in my mind, I am a planner, that I would take a pregnancy test on October 1st. The night before Web and I had decided that we were still going to try but not in the caluclated way...if you know what I mean ;). Web's exact words were, "You never know, you could be pregnant now!" I thought nothing of it but decided to take the test the next day anyway. I went home for lunch, took the test expecting a no, and instead I got a POSITIVE!!!!

No, I did not call Web right away! If you know me, you know that I want everything to be as special as possible ;). I picked Vance up from daycare after work and we headed home to wait for Web to get through playing in a golf tournament. It seemed like it took forever!!! In the mean time I had made a shirt for Vance that said, "I AM GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER! MOMMY IS PREGNANT!" FINALLY Web got home and it took him ten minutes to at last see and read the shirt. He was so excited and kept saying, "You are kidding? Is this for real? Wow!"

Our goal was to not tell a soul until we went to the doctor this past Tuesday, but I told Meag and La on our galz trip ;). Meag had brought the ingredients for my favorite Sangria and I knew they would know something was up if I did not have any. As we sat on the deck we took turns toasting and when it was my turn I said, "To my two best friends who will be with me through my second pregnancy!" I mean it galz, I love you!!!

This past Tuesday we went to the doctor and so far everything is going GREAT! I am 6 weeks today and due on June 12, 2009 ;)!!!

Last night we told my parents and tonight we are telling Web's mom! We had Vance due a family portrait with little pumpkins. We took four pumpkins of different sizes, cut them in half, dipped them in paint, and then Vance stamped them on the paper. We have one for Web, me, Vance, and Baby H! My parents were elated!
