Good Ole Country

This past weekend I was reminded of how much I appreciate my parents and the wonderful childhood I had ;)! They exposed me to so many different yet great things that helped me be the person I am today. I hope that I can provide Vance with the same kind of childhood =)!!!

DISCLAIMER: A lot of pics in the post!

As soon as I got home on Friday, we loaded up and headed to Henry Horton State Park to meet my parents. Every year on the third weekend in July, Chapel Hill, TN plays host to the BIG PULL! It is a tractor pull and even though it may sound a bit country bumpkin to some, it is so much fun! I grew up going to the "pull" every July which happens to be around my dad's birthday ;)! My parents had their camper all set up for a weekend of birthday celebration and camping!!!

Vance posing with Nana Jo & Papa Hunter ;)!

So we decided to let Vance play with a little whip cream!!! He was a little unsure of it...

Letting Vance enjoy some diaper time in the morning ;). I promise he slept with clothes on, but he loves diaper time!!! Excuse the grossness that is me in the morning!!!

Our little country boy "driving" his John Deere! Since he is too young to go to the actual pull, we took him to the pit during the day to see all of the tractors and he was so happy! He kept pointing and saying "TRACTOR!"

Doing a little "excavating" to our campsite ;)!

We left Henry Horton around 2:00 on Saturday and headed home for some much needed relaxation. Our entire household has had some sort of funk over the past week and we want it GONE! My parents said that the pull was a blast! We did decide to go see the progress of our house on Saturday night and that we so exciting!!!

Before we left our own little chef whipped us up some delicious super ;)!

Vance and I standing in what will be his bedroom! Pretty amazing view huh?

Sunday was really nice! It was quiet, it was slow, it was fun, and it was
productive!

We ended the day with a little hat play and a smooth Cherry Coke!

Thank you to everyone who left a sweet comment on my blog! I am feeling much better and I am vowing to take better care of myself ;)!

p.s. Is anyone else getting ancy for FOOTBALL ;)?!?!?!

Vance is THE cutest little thing EVER! I love his little smile in that pic with your mom and dad! I love that he was saying tractor and loving them. That is so boy! Wow! They are really coming along on your house. What a lucky little guy to have a view like THAT! He is going to love growing up out there! Of course, I love the pic of him drinking his cherry coke! Now, that's my kind of weekend wrap up! I'm so glad you are feeling better and that you had such a fun weekend with your sweet family. Love you!

I must admit that I grew up going to the tractor pull every July - I have grand parents who live in Wheel - on the edge of Chapel Hill!
