the BIG bag & the BIG day

Before I reveal the "BIG" secret about yesterday, I must tell you a funny story...

Since Vance has grown out of his ExerSaucer, Web & I thought it might be cute to get him a LITTLE bean bag chair ;). I had one when I was growing up and I loved it. Lauren suggested that I try Pottery Barn Kids b/c they have all sorts of items like that and they are super cute. I went to the web-site, found a red bag and had "Vance" monogrammed in blue, but what about the size? Web suggested I go ahead and get the bigger one b/c he could grow into it. I know he meant well, but I think I will wait before listening to him. I came home Monday and you will never believe what I saw...

I am not sure if you can see him or not BUT Vance is somewhere in that "small" bean bag...LOL! It just cracks me up!

Onto the "BIG" day...

Yesterday I took an entire day off from work to spend with my galz!!! Meag is going back to work on Monday and summer is winding down, so what better way than to spend a day with La & Meag ;)!

We started our day by meeting at 8:00 at City Cafe for breakfast ;). This restaurant has been in Murfreesboro for a l-o-n-g time so it has a great hometown feel. I had the delicious french toast...yummy!

After breakfast we went to...
Hobby Lobby, The Great American Cookie Store, Victoria Secret, Ann Taylor Loft, Bath & Body Works, The Children's Place, Gymboree, College Station, and New York & Company! About this time it was 1:15 and we were HUNGRY! Where do bloggers go when they need some more shopping fuel?

MIMI'S CAFE OF COURSE!

It was so nice to sit down in the AC and enjoy some fabulous food was fabulous friends. While we were at lunch, La's husband David brought her a little surprise...

David had spent the morning at the Auto Auction and came home with a black Murano for La! Doesn't she look fantastic by her new ride?!?! David was sweet enough to switch the cars so we could enjoy the remainder of our day in "style!"

After the excitement of lunch, we headed to Ulta and then to the square to The Write Impression, Sugaree's, and Bink's Outfitters. We had many successful finds that I am sure you will be seeing in future posts ;).

We had one more stop on our list and that was the Movie Theatre to see Mama Mia!!!! I LOVED IT! The play is by far one of my favorites and I thought the movie was GREAT!

Yesterday was one of the best days I have had all summer!

La & Meag ~ I love you galz with all of my heart!

To end the perfect day I went home to play with Vance in his little bean bag while my sweet husband went to the grocery store ;)! I AM SO BLESSED!

You ARE blessed! I love Vance's bean bag chair. Ella Grace LOVES Evan's. He rarely sat in it at all and she loves to just fall into it and sit it in to read books or watch TV. If we put it away, she is dragging it herself back into the living room. I'm so glad you had a great day with your galz. Makes me wish I could have been there. :)
