"I HOLD YOU!"

I love hearing those three words!

That is what Vance will say to Web and I when he wants us to hold him. How sweet is that and how sweet is our little guy. I am seeing little glimpses everyday of Vance's loving heart and it makes me so incredibly happy. Not just love for his family and friends, but love for his Lord as well.

Before every meal we say a blessing and being that we are Catholic it starts with "Father, Son, Holy Spirit." Usually Vance just puts out his hands waiting for Web and I, but within the last week he has started saying and doing the sign of the cross. It might be all over his body and the words a little out of sink, but he is trying :).


What is even sweeter is that his love for his Lord and the blessing has carried over into his pretend play. Vance loves to "cook" and will spend hours making little meals for Web and I. However, before we can enjoy the food we have to say our blessing. I just LOVE that!!! Perhaps we are raising a culinary genuis...watch out Emeril!!!


After a fun-filled Saturday with our little guy, Web and I attended a Sounds Game on Sunday. It was part of his birthday present and the day was just perfect. We went to Mass in the morning and then went to my parent's house for a delicious brunch. They recently purchased a sand box for Vance so they were thrilled to spend a day with him playing in the dirt :).

Not only was the weather gorgeous and the Sounds won, but we got in free! We had no idea but yesterday was Teacher Appreciation Day :). It is so nice when organizations remember and honor all of the hard work teachers do. Free admission meant that we were able to enjoy peanuts, hot dogs, and other baseball game luxuries.

IT WAS A GREAT WEEKEND!!!
