Inspired Weekend

It is late Monday afternoon, it has been a busy day, and I still have a JLM meeting tonight. Shew! The good thing is I get to have dinner with Meag at one of our favorite restaurants...Marinas ;)! Mama's mouth is watering!!!

As I finally sat down to write this post I started thinking about the weekend and truly how wonderful and low-key it was ;).

Friday night I had a date with my sweet, loving little guy ;). Web headed over to a friend's house for some poker while Vance and I colored the night away. My hubby definitely deserved a night with his boyz and it also gave me a chance to do some reading. After Vance finally fell asleep at 9:15 I dove into Small Change, the book we are reading this month. Guess What? I finished it! It was 150 pages, I was wrapped up in the story, and I was alone. If you have not read it before I HIGHLY suggest you do. The story was very inspiring ;).

Also on Friday I hit the 18 week mark ;). I would post a pic but blogger is being so SLOW. Anywho, I feel great and to be honest I am loving watching my belly grow. Part of me does not want to admit this b/c some may make mean faces at me (ha), but I love being pregnant. It is such a blessing and it makes me feel so alive ;).

Saturday we headed to TGI Friday's to celebrate my granny z's 74th birthday ;). She is such a hoot. While we were out, I decided to choose the book I want the group to read in a few months. I don't want to spoil the surprise but it looks really good and very touching.

That afternoon we watched the Ravens beat the Titans...insert broken heart and mean faces to the refs. We did not play great but those refs blew it for us...GRR! Our little family is now pulling for the Cardinals. Web's grandfather played for the original team, the Chicago Cardinals, and they are definitely the underdogs.

Sunday morning we headed to church, visited the house, and that afternoon we saw Marley and Me! I don't think I cried as hard as some, but Web and I both teared up and sniffed a few times. The best part to me was that it depicted real life, real couples, real situations, real joys, real sadness, and true love!!!

It was a GREAT weekend as always!

**Little Vance had to come home early today b/c he is not feeling well. Please say a prayer that he feels better soon ;)!

I can't wait until you post some recent pictures. I bet you are really starting to show!!

The book you are reading sounds really good. Maybe I will get a chance to read it before long. :)

Wasn't Marley and Me just a great movie?? I loved it. You are right...it was mostly about life and love and relationships. I think that's the part I liked best!

Have a great week, Meagan!

Oops...I spelled your name Meagan! Sorry. I know it's Megan. I guess I was thinking of the other Meagan's name when I wrote that. (I'm a scatterbrain sometimes!)

I finished the book in one sitting, too. Some of the things she did totally reminded me of how thoughtful you are.:)
