Boys Will Be Boys

Well...we survived :)! This weekend Web was out of town on his bi-annual golf trip to Pickwick. That means it was just me and the boys this weekend. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not too crazy about being by myself at night. However, I prayed A LOT before this trip and just asked God to ease my worries. He did! The weekend went great, everything went smoothly, and that allowed Web to relax and enjoy his trip!

This is a picture of Lew Lew, BB, Hooper, and Web...aka...Team True. If any of you follow golf and are familiar with The Ryder Cup, that is what the boys model their trip after. There are two teams of four and the entire weekend is a true competition. They even have a trophy they pass around. Don't get me wrong...there was a lot of food, fellowship, laughing, and the occasional adult beverage too :)! This trip means more to them than I can put into words and I am so happy Web has such amazing friends in his life.

While Web was out of town, I decided to plan a play date with some of my favorite people; Meag, La, and Dawson. It was the perfect opportunity to get the boys together to play and the galz together to catch up. I had a few activities for the boys to do but mostly they just played and watched Ice Age 3 :).

One of the activities was finger pring leaf pictures. Dawson's is on the left and Vance's is on the right. They both had a great time playing in the paint. Who doesn't right?!

La and I also decided to let the boys have a tubby together. It was HILARIOUS and we got some great pictures. However, I love the one above the best. Dawson and Vance were just cracking each other up. They were laughing so hard and just being boys. I love it when they get together b/c you never know what they are going to do.

Vance was the BEST helper this weekend. I honestly don't know what I would have done without him. He LOVES his brother and wants to give him kisses all of the time. At one moment I was in the kitchen fixing dinner and Jack started fussing a little. When I peaked around the corner to check on him, Vance was right there reassuring him it was alright. How sweet is he?

Usually when Web comes home from Pickwick he only brings dirty dishes, dirty clothes, and lots of good stories. This year he came home with a present. BB's wife, Leigh, made Jack this beautiful blanket and little hat. She also made one for Vance when he was a baby. I love baby blankets and anything with their initials makes my heart smile :)!!!
It was a GREAT weekend! I am so happy Web is home and we are back to our crazy, wonderful lives.
If you REALLY WANT TO LAUGH, click on Jaime on my blog roll. I think we can all relate to her post today!
