Finally At Home

I know that it has often been said that "Home Is Where The Heart Is," and I think I am FINALLY understanding that.

For me, my heart is with my family and friends. I love being around them, caring for them, praying for them, laughing and crying with them, and quite frankly I can't imagine my life without them :)! From the family that raised me to the family I am now raising and the friends sprinkled on top, I am one BLESSED gal!!!

This weekend was a quiet, fun, productive, and in some ways relaxing one.

We finally got our Direct TV installed and last night Web and I watched TV in bed :)! I absolutely LOVED just laying there beside my best friend while we watched Grey's and felt little Jack move around. I felt at home!

I cooked most of the meals this weekend including muffins this morning. It may sound crazy to some but it made me feel so good to put supper on the table, pray, and have a dinner with my family. I felt at home!

Web and I took Vance out into the garage several times so he could play!



As I sat on the steps and cheered our little man on, I saw years of memories unfold in that garage. He just ran around like crazy and the entire time he wore the biggest smile :). I felt at home!


Saturday night when I filled up my soaking tub with bubbles for Vance's bath, I could not help but just smile. Every time he touched the bubbles he would say "Eeww" and then laugh :). I felt at home!

And then this morning...

I was sitting away at my desk working when La came by to visit. With her she had the most beautiful basket made up of muffins, note pads, some of my favorite candy, and two sunflowers. I held back the tears while she was here BUT those sunflowers made me cry. I love them and I love what they mean...I am home!


Is this not the sweetest basket?! THANK YOU SO MUCH LA FOR MAKING MY MORNING ;)!!!
