Our weekend started off nice and slow ;)! Friday night we had our traditional pizza and all was well.
Saturday morning we got up bright and early, got ready, and headed to Stones River Mall where they were doing Breakfast With Santa. All of the proceeds from the event were going to Rutherford County Habitat which meant a lot to us.
I was really nervous about how Vance was going to do with the people dressed in costumes. You can't tell from this pic but he is smiling ;)! He did so well!
One of the neatest things about the day was that Santa arrived in a Hot Air Balloon! For a couple of weeks we have been trying to get Vance to say "Santa," and wouldn't you know it, he said it Saturday. We did not stay to have his pic taken b/c the line was LONG and it was COLD, but we still had fun.
The rest of Saturday was spent relaxing and going grocery shopping...my how Saturday nights change...LOL!
Sunday Web and I had special plans to finish celebrating our 3rd Anniversary. We dropped Vance off at my parent's house, went to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast, and headed to the Titans/Jets game ;).
Web and I sitting in the stadium waiting for the game to start. The weatherman said it was going to be 55 degrees and sunny...he was wrong. By the second quarter it was 50 degrees, cloudy, windy, and cold. You can't tell but Web purchased a blanket for me to wrap up in. That blanket came in handy later!!!
We had a great time at the game, but ended up leaving a little into the fourth quarter. Not only was I freezing (I know I am pathetic) but I was not feeling well at all. In fact on the way home, I grabbed said blanket, threw it in the floor board, and got sick. Not one of my finest moments but thank God my husband loves me. He was sweet enough to drop me off at home so I could crawl in bed before he got Vance. I was in the bed from 3:30 Sunday afternoon to 5:30 this morning. I did get sick a couple more times but mostly I tried to sleep.
This morning I got up and thought all drama was gone...ha! Without going into too much detail, when I got out of the shower something happened that made me worry something was wrong with the baby. I tried to be strong but the tears did flow. We called the doc and they said to come in around 8:00. We dropped Vance off, hit the road, prayed, and waited. We met with a very sweet NP and after a little routin check-up and a few questions...

That is how fast our baby's heartbeat was going...PTL!
I am at work now and as the day has gone on, I am feeling better and better. The NP said it was probably from being sick the day before. Whatever it was, I am just so thankful that all is well. I am also thankful that I have one more day of work and then I am off for 5 glorious days ;)!

Praise Jesus! I am so sorry you were sick on your fun day! I'm glad that you were able to hear the heartbeat...what a sweet sound, huh?
Girl...isn't being sick the worst??!? I'm so sorry you were sick, but I'm glad you're better and that the baby is okay.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I love the snowman and the picture!!!
Hallelujah!! My heart skipped beats when I read further in the blog. I'm so thankful all is better and you are feeling better.
I am SO glad you and baby are okay. I'm sure you were worried, but I bet it was related to being sick. Were you like virus sick or do you think it was morning sickness? Anyway, I'm glad you two are fine. That sure is a fast heartbeat. I'm thinking we are getting our Maggie! Yeah!
Bless your heart!! I am so glad everything is okay. That does NOT sound like fun. Poor thing! I am just glad you are feeling better now!
Megan,

I have had the funnest time catching up on your blog and reading it backwards! Ha! I am so excited for your family! YEAH!!!!!
I am sorry you were so sick. That is awful, I am glad that baby Hutchings is doing well. Hopefully, you get some much needed rest over the long weekend.
I hate that you got sick, but I am SOOOOO glad everything is okay! You freaked me out in your email a bit! whew! It's amazing how pregnancies can be so different!
I'm so proud of Vance!
This is a good story to tell Baby H when he/she is older!
