Tacky, Traditional Christmas

Eight days and counting! It is hard to believe that Christmas is just eight days away...I am so excited!

Now that our little family is no longer just Web and I, we are forming new traditions. Our hope is that these traditions will carry on in the years to come so that Vance and any other children we might have will have fond memories. My mother, who loves to bake, suggested that each Christmas we take one day to bake cookies:)! So yesterday Web, Vance, and I went to my parents and the tradition began. While my mother and I baked cookies for six hours my husband, father, and Vance watched football. It was a great day...the smell of cookies in the air, the sound of football on TV, and quality time with my familia. The guys did pitch in a little...Web and my father taste tested and Vance even added a few sprinkles. Here are some pics from the day!

Web and I also went to a Tacky Christmas Party on Saturday Night! We had the BEST time!!! I even dusted off my crimper from when I was a little girl! Everyone dressed up in tacky, Christmas clothing and celebrated our friendship. We ate wonderful food, played games, opened gifts, and just enjoyed one another's company. I believe that David put it best when he said, "Lord, let us not only be thankful for our family and friends during the Holiday Season, but all year long!" I am here to tell you that I have an amazing group of friends! Here is a picture of the group from the party!
Til next time...
