The Family That Prays Together Stays Together

Each day I always look forward to reading my friend's post. Her name is Lena Miller and the things she writes are truly thoughtful and inspiring. Today she posted about a book entitled The Power of The Praying Wife. I myself have not read the book, but I have heard so many good things about it!

I believe that praying is something that we all enjoy doing but in a way that makes us comfortable. Some of us might pray silently to ourselves, some of us might lead small or large groups in prayer, and others might pray out loud in a private area. What is my method of praying you might ask? Each morning during my fifteen to twenty minute drive to work I pray outloud. It is my time to have a personal conversation with God, and I love it. There is no other way I would rather start my day then with prayer!

Lena mentions in her post that as a wife we should each take the time to pray for our spouses and their various walks in life. The last two people I pray for each morning are my son and my husband. As the books mentions, prayer is a very strong love language. Honestly, I had never thought of it that way...

I too believe that prayer is what makes so many things possible. Growing up I was always told that a family that prays together stays together! I know that sometimes it is difficult to pray out loud and you might feel embarassed, but we should not. Try to imagine your prayer as a conversation with a dear friend! Speaking of friends, THANK YOU Lena for your wonderful post. I can't wait to go out and purchase that book :)!

Til next time...

Thank you for the sweet comments, Megan! I'm really glad we have gotten to know each other more, and I'm glad that you enjoy the posts! I also partake in morning "God talk" in my car - I think I've been doing that since I was in high school - it just makes sense! Hope everything is going well!
