Pause Button

How many of you have T-Vo or DVR? If you are anything like us you have become spoiled on this wonderful invention. Not only can you record shows, but you can rewind, fast forward, and pause. How I love these buttons and what joy they have brought us while watching one of our too many shows.

If only life had such a remote! Could someone PLEASE invent one of these?!

I have always been a girl on the go with one too many things on my "social calendar." And isn't it always true that those who already do everything typically say, "Sure, put me down for that too." Not to mention that women just have that talent. You know the one...juggling ten things at once and planning ten more. While I accept that this is who I am and that my life is busy, there are days I just want to...

PAUSE, BREATHE, ENJOY THAT MOMENT, AND TUCK IT AWAY IN MY MEMORY BANK!

It wasn't until we got the boys pictures made that I truly realized how much my boys are growing and how fast. Vance is such a little boy and Jack is well on his way. It breaks a momma's heart, but at the same time I am so proud. The little magical remote though would be so nice! Over the weekend I tried very hard to pause when I was behind the camera to remember these little moments and how special they truly are.

Vance and Dawson playing guitar together! Vance gently pulled D-word over to the guitar, put his hand on the strings, and they made the best music. PAUSE!

Little Jack after tubby time! I love giving my boys a bath. For some reason, it is so relaxing! Is Jack not just the cutest little buddha you have ever seen? That sweet towel was sent to us from LeighAnn and he loves it. PAUSE!

Have I ever mentioned that I adore the little Bumbo seats? Now they have the little table attachment. HOW COOL! Jack is slowly doing really well sitting up, so we thought we would give it a try. It is so neat to me when I think about Jack and how new his world is to him. Everyday is new. PAUSE!

Teaching Vance how to make and bake cookies :)! Excuse my pjs but this is the real me on a Sunday afternoon. We put down a towel and let Vance help with every step; the measuring, the pouring, the beating, the "plopping," and of course the eating. The highlight of the evening is when we pulled out the brown sugar and Vance says, "Mommy, are we baking with poopy?" He is observant I tell ya :). PAUSE!
Even though my calendar is full and my to-do lists are many, I am going to find time to invent the remote for life. Until then, I am going to try very hard each day to PAUSE when it matters most :)!

I completely agree - PAUSE!!

And I can't wait to be able to use our Bumbo. We just need a tray. No WAIT! I don't want her to get big enough to use that seat....ugh.
