I honestly cannot believe the final days of summer are here...tear! Web went back to school today to begin in service, Vance is at school today, and I am just trying to soak up my last two weeks at home. The time has flown by!!! Some days have been harder than others but I have loved every moment.
Being a wife and mother has certainly proven to be the most challenging yet rewarding roles of my life. I am a person of high expectations...especially myself. However, I am learning that sometimes it is okay to just do the best I can...even if it is not perfect. At the end of the day the most important thing is that my family, each one of them, knows how much I love them.
Here are some pictures of what we have been up to lately :)!
On August 4th, Jack turned 2 months old :)! He is growing and changing on a daily basis. Jack is wearing size 2 diapers, cooing all of the time, smiling, enjoys laying on his interactive mat, stares at his brother, loves being in his swing, holds his head up so well, still is not sleeping through the night, but we are working on that. He eats often and promises to be a big boy with a lot to say.
My sweet little buddha and I :)! He will lay in the floor and just smile at the ceiling fan.
Meag, La, and I spent a Sunday afternoon painting pottery with sweet Lily :)! Lily is the daughter of a dear friend and she also happens to be Web's god daughter. She is so sweet and did a great job painting her princess castle box. Lily even brought me a snickerdoodle cookie...my personal favorite.
This is me in all of my glory...LOL! I spend a lot of time in comfy clothes. What can I say? I love wearing pjs and Vance does too. I am one happy mommy with my two boys in my arms :)!
A couple of weeks ago we bought Vance a HUGE bucket of food and he LOVES playing with it :)! He is a great mixture of Web and I...a little messy yet anal :)!
One of Jack's first smiles!!!!!!!
Web and I have been trying to make time for little day dates here and there. We had a couple massage a few weeks ago and it was just what we needed. Of course Web fell asleep due to some serious sleep deprivation...lol. Don't tell anyone BUT I talked him into getting a pedicure too. He might deny it but he enjoyed it.
This picture makes my heart swell!!! Vance was holding Jack's hand on our way back from Chattanooga. He is such a GREAT big brother.
My parents have always been big campers and since all of the kiddos are out of the house, they do it quite often. We loaded up the boys and headed to Normandy to celebrate my dad's birthday. This is my mom (Nana Jo) and Vance feeding the geese. He LOVED it!
This is such a cool toy!!! We found this little golf set at our local Toys R Us and Vance LOVES it! We are going to get him a real set for Christmas, but this is something good to practice with until then.
These pics are just some of the things we have been up to. Mainly our time is consumed with playing, playing, and playing some more. It is great being a parent when your kiddos are so much fun.
To end this post I just want to highlight a few of my other summer favorites...
*Reading "The Shack" and enjoying the book club
*Watching The Next Food Network Star & So You Think You Can Dance
*Little special moments with each of my boys as well as Web
*Seeing Harry Potter
*Learning a little more about myself each and every day :)
Our calendar is already filling up with some more exciting plans for the fall and I plan to live in each and every moment!

Awww...so many adorable pictures!! I hope you enjoy your last two weeks and can get some sleep soon. It IS hard juggling two kids. It's the hardest job in the world, really. But I can tell you are doing an amazing job. You are a great mom, Megan!
The picture of Vance holding Jack's hand makes me tear up! That is so, so sweet. I also can't believe how big Jack is and HOW MUCH he looks like Web!! :)
Playing, playing, playing sounds like great days to me! Those little men of yours sure are handsome. I think D thinks a pedicure is ok now that Web did it first! I'm signing him up now!!! LOL! Sweet little hand holding! Tears!
WHEW! That was a lot to catch up on! I am glad you found some time to post! I love the picture of Vance and Jack holding hands! I bet he's going to be such a sweet and caring big brother!
