Month of Amazing Moments

LET ME FIRST SAY THAT I HAVE MISSED YOU ALL AND I HOPE YOU HAD AN AMAZING FOURTH :)!

I deeply apologize that I have not posted in a l-o-n-g time; slow computer and still trying to balance out our time. However, I think about all of you often and pray that your summer is going well. Please don't stop checking in on us :)!

Yesterday our sweet Jack turned 1 month old and in two days Vance will be 29 months old. Is it possible? Why has time decided to fly by like it has? None the less, this past month has brought many adjustments and many emotions. A good friend of ours told us that having two children would be twice as hard and more of a blessing than having one. Truer words were never spoken. The most amazing thing is how different two children can be and yet how your heart explodes with love for both of them.

So, what have our two boys been up to these days?

Jack is...

*Eating and gaining weight like a champ :)! He went from 7lbs 1 oz to 9lbs 2oz in less than a month. He is even in size 2 diapers already...lol.

*Sleeps between 3 and 5 hours at a time and usually does pretty well at night. He loves sleeping in his moses basket.

*Has started to coo and smile a little.

*Seems to enjoy tubby time but loves to just be held, walked around, and talked to.

*Is having a few tummy issues that we are trying to balance out...please pray that these subside soon and Jack is at ease.

*Loves being outside and does not mind loud noise!

*Is starting to hold his head up.

*Brings us joy and challenges us daily :)!

Vance is...

*TALKING SO WELL!!!

*Can count to 20 and counts everything he can :)

*Is finally going to sleep on his own and doing well at it. We have to check for snakes before we tuck him in...it is so cute.

*Swimming like a pro! He loves to jump in on his own or have his daddy throw him. No worries, he wears swimmies of course :).

*Loves his little brother and has started "reading" to him from time to time.

*Has such a wonderful memory and imagination. Today he bit into a cracker to make it the shape of a boat.

*Has the best manners and such a loving heart! He is tender and sensitive like his mommy :)!

*Loves to eat oatmeal and would eat it for every meal if I let him.

*Strong willed, a little anal at times, and pure joy!

Web and I have been enjoying our summer and look forward to a few more weeks of family and friend time. I have a day planned with my galz soon and I can't wait :)!

We had the best time today...Jack is so sweet and I hope his tummy is better soon. I love how he'll just look at you when you talk to him.

Vance is one of the most polite little boys I've ever been around. I can already see that he is going to continue to be a great big brother.

You and Web are doing a wonderful, wonderful job raising both of them.
