Staying Grounded

I LOVE the Holidays...I LOVE the shopping, the Christmas Carols, the parties, the family get togethers, Christmas traditions...I LOVE IT ALL!!!

For some reason I have been more overwhelmed than usual. Perhaps it is because this is my first Christmas as a mom, perhaps it is that work has been very busy lately, or perhaps it is that I am a perfectionist with a to-do list a mile long. Trust me, I am not complaining! Every thing "going on" in my life is a blessing. However, I am having to learn that I need to ask for help from time to time AND not everything has to be perfect.

Do you ever find yourself saying "This month I will do it differently. This month I will take it day by day and truly enjoy life." I am proposing a challenge to anyone who reads this that come December 1st we make a concerted effort to enjoy the Holiday Season. I am a happy, loving person, and I NEVER want to be compared to SCROOGE:(! I am not saying it will be easy, but turn to those whom you love for guidance.

My Family...My WONDERFUL husband Web...My AMAZING son Vance...they are who keep me grounded. My husband has the most genuine heart of anyone I have ever met. He helps me around the house on a daily basis. Sorry ladies, he is already taken. He reminds me to slow down, take deep breaths, and relax. I try everyday to be more like him. My son is such a joy. He is going on 10 months old and has the best personality. He laughs at the simplest things...we should do that more often. How blessed I am!

I hope that you all have a blessed, pure, joy-filled Holiday! Stop from time to time to enjoy where you are in that moment!
Here is a picture of my beautiful family...

Til Next Time...
