I KNOW...
that I have not been a good blogger AT ALL! I do read most of your blogs but I have not been great on commenting or posting. No excuses...just a busy bee :).
In the last month and a half lots of goodness has been flowing through our home and through my soul.
* Web finished out his year at Oakland High School and next year he will begin at Oakland Middle School. He will be teaching Tech Ed and coaching golf. Can you believe his classroom is the biggest at the school; 3000 square feet. He is on cloud nine!
* I read The Help last month for our book club and it is definitely one of the best books ever written. It will change your way of thinking, it will make you cry, and it will make you laugh.
* Vance is well on his way of being potty trained and it is such a blessing. He still has an accident every now and again BUT he does really well. There is nothing cuter than watching him run around in his "underwares" and pretending to be Spiderman.
* Work has been really busy and really amazing as of late. We have lots of exciting things going on and it makes me feel so good to be a part of it all. On May 26th, we dedicated the 3000th home built in TN. It was a beautiful ceremony in Appalachia, TN.
* I found an incredible blogger and her name is Kelle Hampton. I wish I could meet her and be her friend b/c she is amazing. If you have not read her story before, please do. You will want to be her friend too :).
* Jack is growing like a weed and believe it or not, he turned 1 on June 4th. Um Father Time, could you take a chill pill on being so speedy?! This past year flew by and I have bittersweet emotions about it; sad that he is no longer a little baby but excited about the future. Check out the pics from his birthday.
Jack LOVES Elmo so we had a Sesame Street Theme. We had SS balloons, cupcakes, plates, and decorations. Even Jack and Vance wore an Elmo shirt to go with the decor. His birthday was on Friday but our family gathered on Saturday to celebrate Jack and the joy he bring us!
The relationship between Vance and Jack is so much fun to watch. They are night and day but oh they do adore one another. From time to time we have to talk about sharing BUT they love one another and I love them so much more for it.
When Vance wakes up and walks in the living room Jack does two things; 1. smiles from ear to ear AND 2. crawls right over to Vance to give him a hug.
LIFE IS SO, SO, SO SWEET!
